HUNTER POLLER

Hunter was born on Dec 31, 1986 at South Laguna Hospital. He started skimming at age 10 with his friends Andrew, Sean, and Jason. His favorite local spots to skim his Grape Halibut  are Torts & Aliso, but he is more than stoked on the waves in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  When asked what he was most-stoked on about his Halibut, he told us:

“Its different, better for doing airs. It favors my kind of skimming. You can make it go fast down the line or you can take your time with it. It is easier for going switch. It is an all around great board. Easy for shuvits. Great all around board. Easier to pump the thing.”

His top goal in the skim world is progress. “Going to the beach everyday and skimming with my friends & getting good waves” is what he loves most about the sport, but the “lack of respect from the surf world“ grinds his gears.

Hunter’s interest in skimboarding was influenced mostly by Brandon Sears- who is still skimming pro today. Hunter is also sponsored by EOS and Sector 9.
His other hobbies are skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, & kickin’ it with his girl; he’s not a big fan on Boogies or rollerblades.
